Luke & Tommy Museum

On the 15th September years 5 and 6 went to the imperial war museum in Manchester. When we arrived next to the museum was the BBC building.

We went through the door and put our bags into some containers with numbers on and we were number 3. First we went into the main part of the building.

We sat down and a member of staff asked us some questions to answer about the war then she said in 5 minutes a slide show will appear on the walls we watched the show about the war and kids being evacuated.

Next we had lunch it was the best part of the day I had a lot of sweets. Then we put our bags back.

Next we went to the viewing tower we could see old Trafford from the top some people were scared but two pupils Tommy (tom tom satnav his nickname) and Luke were not scared. Luke shouted Fred to a man and he actually said hi. The view was awesome you could see for miles.

Then we went down in a lift we came out and had a look at some more stuff and the shop too.

After we all lined up and got our bags and got on the bus and went back to school and went home. IT WAS A BRILLIANT DAY.

Codi Rowlands war museum

Our museum trip.

On Thursday 15th Years 5 and 6 went to the Imperial War Museum in Manchester. It took about one and a half hours to get there on the bus.

When we got there everyone got off the bus in their groups and a woman called Sarah talked to us. After that we walked inside and put our bags in like a trolley. Then we went to the toilets and walked up the stairs.

When we got up there we went in a huge room called the Main Exhibition. In there were lots of big objects including a bombed car copy. After about five minutes of looking around the room a movie started. The movie was projected on to all the walls around us. A woman was talking about the experience of world war l or world war ll. It was loud, it was sad.

Not long after the movie we went in the tower. You had to go in a lift to get up there and when you do you can see through the floor.

Then we came down and not long after we had dinner. Half an hour later we had a lesson about the people in world war ll and we all had different mystery object-we had to work out what it was for. Finally we collected our coats and went home.
